This was taken in June 2008 with my camera’s kit lens. I hope I’ll have the opportunity to capture this scene again with the same cloud formation and reflection with my new lens…I’ll just have to go back and stay at Inn on the Harbor 🙂
A visit to my listing, Inn on the Harbor is calling me…and an afternoon of fried clams overlooking the harbor…
This was taken from one of my favorite fishing villages in all of Maine…and home to one of my waterfront listings, Inn on the Harbor.
Stonington on Deer Isle is one of my favorite small fishing villages in Maine. It’s got a great mix of galleries, shops and localism. And mostly lobstermen. But it’s what an island should feel like – but this one’s accessible by car. I have a listing in Stonington – Inn on the Harbor – pick up your feet at high tide, they are right ON the water (pier foundation)! I’ve stayed there before – a wonderful spot to sit and unwind… check out the slideshow below…
Each time I visit my listing, Inn on the Harbor, I visit the Isalos Gallery. I remember walking into the gallery and immediately being drawn to a large vertical photo on a back wall (pictured here). The artist is Rebecca Daugherty. Her use of perspective in some of her pieces is what I love to do with my photographs. And her play on light is stunning. This piece stuck with me, period. So I am glad I found her blog and website and can keep up with her work. Stop by Isalos if you’re in the area (I can show you a fabulous inn for sale, too!) or at one of the locations where her work is on display.
