Paddling on Third West Branch Pond near Moosehead Lake

Ahhh, soon…

I say this after an unusual 3 feet of snow on the Maine coast! This photo was taken on Third West Branch Pond north of Greenville.

High Above Moosehead Lake in a Float Plane…

Moosehead Lake is spectacular from the road or from the lake. But get yourself into a sea plane for the most amazing view ever!

West Branch Pond in the Northwoods of Maine – a tiny little gem!

Pond Grass

on Upper Wilson Lake just a few minutes from Moosehead Lake and Greenville, Maine – love this beautiful, calm lake!

Autumn on Sawyer Pond in Maine…

so I might be a bit premature with the foliage shots…Sawyer Pond is a very small pond just east of Moosehead Lake. The colors last year were just gorgeous around the rim of this pond.

Water Ripples and Reflections…

I love reflection photography…

One of the most peaceful spots in the north woods of #Maine

this is Upper Wilson Pond – and if you look at an aerial satellite map, you’ll see the winding and shallow “thoroughfare” you must travel through to get to the upper pond from Lower Wilson Pond. I felt like I was in the Bayou of the north woods of Maine! There were wild blue Iris growing, Rugosa roses, tall grasses, Lily Pads with big yellow flowers, tiny frogs on the lily pads (no kidding, I tried to take a photo but they’re quick to jump when even a slow moving boat goes by). This was one amazing hidden gem. All I could say was “WOW”…

THE spectacular capture of the day – a nesting #Maine Loon

This viewing was courtesy of Young’s Guide Service – a nesting Loon up north of Moosehead Lake. Unbelievable sight. This Loon just sat and stared as we sat perfectly still in the canoe. WOW was all I could think…
