Thanks Mike. I must admit, I started out as a “photo purist” not wanting to use HDR. I might eventually do it!

Well if you have ever heard of Ansel Adams, he would have been all over HDR. As long as the images look realistic all you are doing is bringing out more detail. You are realizing your previsualization, as Ansel would put it. Give it a try. Have a great day.

I still have my Ansel Adams poster from the early 80s when I became interested in B&W photography.
I will take your advice and do it, but I promise not to over do it like some HDR photos!

Lovely shot! Have you tried to use HDR for any of your sunrises? It would really help to pull out some detail in the foreground shadows.
