Supporting the local Maine fishermen…

This is Raymond’s spot. He sits along Route 102 in Southwest Harbor and sells fresh seafood from his weathered pickup truck every Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday. You have to get there early to get the salmon. Next week he told me he’ll have Halibut (and I’d suggest getting there early for that, too). He regularly has large sea scallops, Hake, Haddock, Maine shrimp, clams and Maine crabmeat. And it’s always been incredibly fresh! Anyone on Mount Desert Island should buy from him 🙂 Next time, I’ll snap a picture of him and his truck! In fact, one of these days when I have time, I’m going to make him a nice, new sign for the side of his truck…
