A #gourmet foodie find in Bar Harbor, Maine…

Headed to Bar Harbor last night to meet some friends for dinner but went early to do some last minute holiday shopping. We parked in the public lot on Rodick Place and this beautifully lit storefront caught my attention: Fiore Artisan Olive Oils and Vinegars. Large windows with gorgeous warm oranges and yellows glowed softly from inside and immediately draw you in. We walked in and were greeted by welcoming new owners Pat and Nancy O'Brien. "Have you been here for a tasting before?" asked Pat. They explain the layout of the store and can guide you on a self tasting of each of the oils and Balsamics, offering bread and small dipping/tasting cups. What a great concept, and in Bar Harbor, Maine! We tasted and bought 7 bottles, some gifts and some just for us. Among my favorites, the 18 year Aged Balsamic, the unique Peach White Balsamic, Vanilla 18 year Balsamic, Garlic Infused Extra Virgin Olive Oil and the Picual Extra Virgin Olive Oil from Spain. I've joined the tasting club, buy so many bottles and get one free. No more grocery store oil and vinegar for me! We wish Pat and Nancy the best in their new venture!
