Autumn in Acadia National Park, Maine…
I took these photos on a hike today to the top of Sargent Mountain (at 1,373 feet it's the 2nd tallest peak to Cadillac Mountain). We saw some beautiful colors against the backdrop of dark green fragrant pines. The Hadlock Brook and Maple Spring trails bring you under and over two gorgeous granite bridges built by the Rockefeller's. It was just picture perfect…it was even worth the constant rock scrambling and strategic foot placement over tree roots!
grew up on MDI and these photos absolutely do the magical place justice. I’m both envious and overjoyed to “feel” it through your perspective since I can’t be there myslef…the next best thing – to see it. We are indeed lucky, huh?
