So we have a one day cold snap, woke up to snow flurries. In the distance I could see precipitation but didn’t think it would be in the form of snow. It will turn to rain and tomorrow our temperatures will begin to get back to normal, reaching the upper 50′s again on Tuesday…they say if you don’t like the weather in Maine, just wait a minute.

This isn’t bad, though not the one I’m looking for. Years ago, before I had my DSLR, I took a picture of the most beautiful sunrise I’ve seen since I’ve been in Maine. There were horizontal stripes of colors, clearly delineated, in deep purple, blue, to light blue, turquoise, to red, orange, yellow and pink. The stripes were just that vivid. I am still waiting for another like it.
