over Southwest Harbor, Maine
these were in the garden at one of my listings, The Riverside Inn in East Machias, Maine
This viewing was courtesy of Young’s Guide Service – a nesting Loon up north of Moosehead Lake. Unbelievable sight. This Loon just sat and stared as we sat perfectly still in the canoe. WOW was all I could think…
Many visitors to Maine often wonder what flower or species of rose this is – it’s the Rugosa Rose and originated in Asia. The small, cherry tomato-like buds are Rose Hips, which are actually a fruit. The rose petals do not grow from these hips as many would suspect and often they appear on the plant simultaneously. They can be found all over Maine.
Wishing all Moms a day filled with pleasantries.
This was along the Valley Cove trail…
My sellers might think I’m nuts…climbing into plant beds…lying down under a tree…I don’t just photograph the rooms or the property…when I walk a listing, I see so much more than the obvious. I usually take several hundred shots. I guess in a sense I stop and smell the roses…maybe it’s the former innkeeper in me appreciating the lifestyle and the little things that surround our every day life. This is what I try to convey to the potential buyer. Enjoy.
